December was a busy month at Rose Care. It started off with the Christmas Party early in the month, which was great fun, and was enjoyed by clients and staff alike. The month got busier, though - life always does at that time of year - and the closer we got to Christmas the more (and more!) cold and flu viruses presented themselves. Needless to say, we were very pleased to see the New Year arrive, with its hope of renewed health, and a fresh determination to carry out those New Year resolutions. We can be thankful that January has been a little more settled healthwise, even if everyone has put on a few pounds. We have been very fortunate to have had such a mild month. Bad weather can make it very difficult for our care workers to get around and stay on schedule.
Roll on spring!

Rose Care will be having their annual Christmas Party on Sunday, December 2nd this year. The party will be held at the Trades and Labour Club, 2 - 5pm. We look forward to seeing many of our clients and their families for what looks like being a wonderful afternoon. Photos of the event will follow.
Earlier this month many of our clients enjoyed an afternoon out. The trip started with a drive around the lovely Suffolk countryside then on to a garden centre near Woodbridge for afternoon tea before returning home.

June 2007
Welcome to our new staff! We look forward to working with you.
The Rose Care Social Club has been thriving over the last couple of months. How do we find the time to work?!
There has been a lot going on which included two very pleasant meals at the China Suite and also a couple of rather nice walks – not only healthy (apart from the drink at the end) but also a good way to enjoy the lighter evenings.

Feb 2007
January has been fairly busy for Rose Care. It was hard work just recovering from Christmas and the disruption caused by the holiday season, but we did have a very pleasant staff outing later in the month at the China Suite in Felixstowe. A good night was had by all and the next social event is already being arranged.
Towards the end of the month we had our second inspection from the CSCI (Commission for Social Care Inspection). An inspection always feels a little uncomfortable; however, we thought it went well. We look forward to seeing the results on the CSCI website in the near future, and invite anyone interested to see them there.
We are always on the look out for budding new carers; so if you are in the least bit curious about what we do please pop in or email us for more information.
We have a little availability to take new customers at the moment. This is always dealt with on a first come first serve basis.

Rose Care will shortly be holding its annual Christmas Party. It will be held at the Trades and Labour Club and all of our clients are invited, assuming they are fit enough to attend. Many of our carers attend and often bring members of their families too. It is a lovely 'family' type get together and always has a nice atmosphere. This year it will be held on December 3rd, 2pm - 5pm.
This year The Trimley Saints are going to do a short variety act for us. We will also have our very own Paul Davis on the piano who will accompany one or two willing singers as well as entertaining us with his expertise on the keyboard. Other visitors will include the Mayor of Felixstowe and it is rumoured that Frank Spencer is going to drop in!!! This year, for the first time, we are going to hold a raffle in aid of St Elizabeths Hospice. If you are a Rose Care client or not, should you like to purchase some raffle tickets please call in at our offiice. They will be available at the party too.
Loads to eat and hopefully fun for all. Photos of the event should be available soon.
